Jason Gray is a dually licensed mental health professional with more than 15 years of experience helping individuals navigate mental health challenges, substance use disorders, and life's complexities. He holds a Master of Science in Counseling, is a graduate of Binghamton University, and is licensed in Connecticut as both a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC).
Since beginning his career in 2011, Jason has worked with individuals facing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and substance-related challenges. His clinical experience includes treating anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship difficulties, and high-risk behaviors, with a particular interest in working with adolescents, young adults, and men navigating personal and emotional challenges.
Jason's therapeutic approach is grounded in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and harm reduction principles. He recognizes that no two individuals share the same experiences, challenges, or goals, and believes effective treatment begins with understanding each person's unique circumstances.
Known for his approachable, straightforward, and nonjudgmental style,
Jason strives to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel comfortable speaking openly, exploring difficult emotions, and making meaningful changes. He emphasizes collaboration, personal accountability, and practical strategies that clients can apply to their everyday lives.
Jason believes that meaningful progress comes from building a trusting therapeutic relationship, identifying patterns that may be holding individuals back, and empowering clients to develop the insight, confidence, and skills necessary to move forward.

Meet Hudson, our lovable Golden Retriever and the official Chief Comfort Officer at Litchfield Counseling!
With his gentle personality, playful spirit, and endlessly wagging tail, Hudson brings a special kind of warmth to our practice. He believes that sometimes the best way to brighten someone's day is with a friendly greeting, a little unconditional affection, or simply being a comforting presence.
Hudson takes his role seriously—although he occasionally gets distracted by treats, belly rubs, and the occasional nap. His favorite activities include making new friends, spreading smiles, and reminding everyone that it's okay to slow down and enjoy the little things in life.
At Litchfield Counseling, we believe that healing happens in an environment where people feel safe, welcomed, and accepted. Hudson embodies that philosophy with his gentle nature and unconditional love.
